Christeene is SCARLETT ROUGE’s  friend, a daring drag queen performer who sings about fixing her penis and tears falling from her vagina. Lilith was Adam's first wife in Genesis; she was expelled from Eden because Adam complained that she was not submissive to him. As a consequence, God, in addition to casting her out of Eden, told her she would suffer debilitating pains during menstruation and agony during childbirth... she was also blamed for infantile deaths, as she was said to feed on newborns. Nevertheless, it was to her that women prayed and asked for protection for the survival of their children. More recently, her defiance towards the patriarchy has made her the spokesperson for feminist issues. In this painting, Scarlett is also connecting her to current gender issues. A female voice expressed through a biological male's body.

That gender is performative means that there can be no gender identity before gendered acts, because the acts are continuously constituting the identity. Butler wrote that nobody can be a gender before doing gendered acts. She also wrote that gender should not be seen as a stable identity.
