Niclas Wolf presents a piece of the series Geoprimitiv. This series draws comparisons between the Precambrian era and the Anthropocene era. This series showcases distinctive tectonic sculptures made of a newly-developed, specialized clay. With unique thermic properties, even in extreme atmospheric conditions, each sculpture reflects the inherent structure of the artwork and conforms to the laws of statics and self-assembly. Every object is entirely unique.

In his daily life, Niclas Wolf is deeply connected to the natural world. By searching and recording all of the elements that touches him, he designs the earth‘s resources in order that the invisible becomes material. His creative process is through body and mind, soul and thoughts, hands and breath. His work is all about experimentation, all of his pieces are filled with layers made up of everything that surrounds them. Tectonic structures and geological phenomena are great sources of inspiration. The collections are the speculative results of an ongoing investigation into how formative processes in nature can be adapted into creative methods.
