OMER ASIM PRESENTS ‘SHRINES II: BELIEF IN MATERIAL OBJECTS’ – A SCENT CEREMONY AT STUDIO RÖ, MILAN

A Ritualistic Exploration of Scent and Materiality.
Milan, 7th April 2025 –  Omer Asim unveils ‘Shrines II: Belief in Material Objects’, a scent burning ceremony by Sileno Cheloni at Studio RÖ in Milan.

Omer Asim invites you to an exploration of memory through the transience of Perfume.
The brand moves its London based installation to Milan for its 2nd iteration of a dream visions of objects and scent.
You are invited to join the duo Asim and Antoun as they collaborate with Florence based perfumer Sileno Cheloni.
Cheloni brings a Sufi vision to the sense of smell, and you are bade to experience scent through an imagined dream exploration channelled by talismans and copper vessels.

Set within the space of Studio RÖ, the scent ceremony will guide visitors through an olfactory experience with the master perfumer Cheloni and an exploration of objects by Omer Asim.
The experience is an evocation of an ephemeral space and time.

At the heart of ‘Shriness II’ is a contemplation on the transient nature of memory and experience, through material objects. Just as scent dissipates and objects alter with exposure and touch, this ceremony encourages a meditation on impermanence, inviting guests to surrender to the moment.

Invitation-Only Experience  - Organized by Matthew Zorpas
To honour the ceremonial nature of this collaboration, ‘Shrines II’ will be presented as an intimate, invitation-only experience on 7th of April at Studio RÖ.
